Bannink was founded as a sole proprietorship in Deventer. Initially, mainly paper products were supplied to the meat industry.
Due to strong growth, Bannink has to move to the Deventer industrial area. The first machines for processing corrugated cardboard are purchased.
The company continues to grow, and the capacities are no longer sufficient. A new, larger factory is being built in Nijverdal.
Once again, the company becomes too small, and the restless entrepreneur Dick Bannink decides to build a new building. The new factory is being built in Coevorden.
Together with his partner Frank Gausepohl, Dick Bannink builds a factory in Schüttorf (Germany) that specializes in large quantities. Bannink is now a “small group.”
May 30, 2019: The darkest day: Dick Bannink passed away completely unexpectedly. He leaves a big gap and will always remain in our hearts. Frank Gausepohl, Dick Bannink’s long-time business partner, is appointed as the new Managing Director of Bannink. The shares remain in the foundation that Dick specifically established for this purpose.
In the course of the acquisition of the Bannink shares by Frank Gausepohl, we have also become a corrugated cardboard family in terms of corporate law.
Corrugated cardboard unites: From the beginning of 2026, we will also bear the common “family name” Packners in order to show our strength as a corrugated cardboard and cardboard producer even more clearly to the outside world.
