The first men’s team is discussed in every village pub. They receive new jerseys, stylish training jackets, and floodlights. Whereas we deliberately focus on teams that would otherwise tend to sit on the sidelines of the sponsorship landscape. Our underdog sponsorship is aimed at the real heroes of district league culture: men’s soccer teams from the second division “downwards” and women’s teams.
But wait—before the whole of the Netherlands, Lower Saxony, and North Rhine-Westphalia start sending in requests: we only sponsor within a radius of around 15 kilometers from our locations in Emsbüren and Coevorden, and of course every budget runs out at some point. But then we’ll just talk about next year.
As is customary among athletes, we keep things simple and informal here: just send your request by email to Stefan Gausepohl. When we meet, we naturally expect a proper jersey handover, as we are convinced that new jerseys – just like new cars – still squeak.
And why all this?
Because we believe that it is often the “second string” players who have the better team spirit, the loudest cheers, and the most fun away trips. And because employer branding for us doesn’t just mean printing trendy glossy brochures, but supporting people who stick together – even when they’re 1-5 down and drinking beer from plastic cups. If someone from your team or an acquaintance is looking for a new job and you think of us, that’s the best win-win scenario we can imagine.

The PAPP Cup
The tournament for everyone who carries us in their hearts (well, on their jerseys, that is).
We tested the concept back in the summer of 2025 and unanimously decided: Yes, we definitely want to get serious—or rather, have serious fun—once a year in the future. Together with our sponsored teams, we are launching the wildest district league cup ever. Only teams wearing Packners jerseys will compete against each other on the field and in the penalty shootout tournament.
And that’s not all: be sure to mobilize your fans, because there is an extra trophy for the most dedicated fans, which will be decided at the bar. In addition, the High-Speed-Nagelmaxe Challenge Cup is ready – meaning it is about speed-hammering nails.
And at the end of the PAPP CUP, there will be a glittering Players Night with the presentation of the numerous challenge cups!
PAPP-CUP 2026
Under the motto “Join in, cheer on, celebrate together”, numerous footballers and fans came together at Concordia-Sportpark in Emsbüren on Saturday, 25 July 2026:
- FC 47 Leschede II
- SV Concordia Emsbüren V
- SV Suddendorf/Samern III
- SSV Quendorf 1998
- SV Alemannia Salzbergen IV
- BSG Kluge Kiste
At the end of a sunny day, the following trophy winners were announced:
- The most important trophy first: after a thrilling final, SSV Quendorf 98 were crowned this year’s champions!
- The trophy for second place went to FC 47 Leschede’s third team.
- Third place went to SV Suddendorf-Samern’s third team.
- Highly motivated but (still) without a trophy this year: SV Alemannia Salzbergen IV, SV Concordia V and our BSG “Kluge Kiste” team.
- FC 47 Leschede won the penalty shootout cup as well as the trophy for the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
- Malte Knöppker of SV Suddendorf-Samern was honoured as the tournament’s top scorer.
- No referee, no tournament. So we also awarded a trophy to the best referee and honoured Thomas Buscher as our “Senior”.
- Last but not least, we naturally also remembered the most dedicated district-league fans! The trophy was decided at the bar and went to this year’s hosts, SV Concordia.
